Who we are
We offer trauma–informed services underpinned by a Social Model of Health that recognizes health and wellbeing as the outcome of social determinants (social, environmental, economic, physical and cultural factors) and gender inequity (being a woman).
This is a safe women only environment providing services that seek to Empower Women to improve the quality of their lives and fulfil their potential
Rather than asking “What’s the problem with you?”
We ask
“What happened to you?”
“What did you have to do to survive?
Our vision and purpose is to ensure that
all women are empowered and supported in our community.
Our purpose is to deliver trauma-informed
mental health, addiction and domestic violence services to assist women to meet their physical, emotional, social and economic potential.
We work through a feminist framework to advance women’s health and
wellbeing, and access to social justice.
We recognise that health and wellbeing are outcomes of social determinants and gender inequality. This means care for women needs
to be different.
We were a part of change when we were founded and we continue to be
a part of change in our community.
